By accessing or using Should I Refinance Yet ("the Service") including our website, MCP API, and related services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE
Should I Refinance Yet provides mortgage refinancing analysis tools, rate comparisons, and related financial information. We also provide a Model Context Protocol (MCP) API that allows AI assistants to access mortgage rate information programmatically.
Important: The Service provides information for educational purposes only and does not constitute financial advice. Always consult with qualified financial professionals before making mortgage decisions.
3. MCP API TERMS OF USE
The MCP API is provided for integration with AI assistants and other applications. By using the MCP API, you agree to:
Rate Limits: Respect the rate limits of 10 requests per minute (anonymous) or 60 requests per minute (authenticated). Exceeding these limits may result in temporary or permanent suspension.
Compliance Requirements: When displaying mortgage rate information obtained through the API, you MUST follow all compliance requirements including displaying NMLS IDs, license numbers, APR prominence, and required disclaimers.
No Scraping: You may not use the API to scrape, aggregate, or redistribute rate data in bulk without written permission.
Attribution: When displaying data from our API, you should provide attribution to Should I Refinance Yet where practical.
4. ACCEPTABLE USE
You agree not to:
Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its related systems
Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
Use automated systems to access the Service in a manner that sends more requests than a human could reasonably produce
Misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person or entity
5. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by Should I Refinance Yet and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Mortgage rate data is provided by third-party lenders and is subject to their respective terms.
6. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
Mortgage rates and calculations are provided for informational purposes only. Actual rates may vary based on your specific financial situation, creditworthiness, and lender requirements.
7. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
IN NO EVENT SHALL SHOULD I REFINANCE YET BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO FINANCIAL DECISIONS MADE BASED ON INFORMATION PROVIDED BY THE SERVICE.
8. THIRD-PARTY CONTENT
The Service may display mortgage rates and offers from third-party lenders. We do not endorse any particular lender and are not responsible for the accuracy of third-party information or the terms of any loans offered by third parties.
9. MODIFICATIONS TO TERMS
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the Service. Your continued use of the Service after any changes indicates your acceptance of the modified terms.
10. TERMINATION
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.
